The Friends of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Libraries is formed exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes as specified in Sec 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended. These purposes include:

• Maintain a membership of persons (Friends) supportive of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Libraries (Library);
• Support and cooperate with the Library to develop, maintain, and enhance facilities and resources;
• Provide volunteer services to the Library;
• Raise money to provide direct additional financial assistance for needs not normally covered in the Library’s operating budget;
• Encourage gifts;
• Advocate for the Library at the local and state levels;
• Increase campus and community awareness about the Library.
